Offcut ObjectsYear: 2023
Material: GLULAM offcuts

Offcut Objects is a series of functional pieces made from offcuts from GLULAM beams.

By working with leftover materials, this project explores how design can extend a materials life, turning waste into useful, aesthetic objects.

BEARING
 side table

A solid, heavy tabletop rests on wooden ball bearings, creating a playful movement that contrasts its visual and physical weight.

SQUARE
  chair

Built from the largest glulam offcuts, all components extend from the same central axis, creating a structural piece that references its material origin.

The angular geometry and repetition of dimension reflect both a structural logic and material honesty.

FLOWER
 stool

A circular composition of intersecting square forms, producing a bold geometric rhythm.

The exposed end grain emphasizes the laminated structure of glulam.

ZIGZAG
bowls

CNC‑milled stackable vessels with stepped exterior profiles.

All edges are softened, refining the mechanical language into something tactile and inviting.
